Guest guest
- I'm in the bay area (near San ) and really like and trust my doctor. Are you willing to travel about an hour south? amy
Guest guest
Hi all, Here's my question: when you don't know anything about the doctor nor the doctor-screening website, how do you know what to trust? If an MD tells you they've performed X number of myo's, never had an emergency hysto, etc., how can you trust this? It is in their INTEREST to give you a favorable spin! $$$$$$$!!!!! Likewise, if I pay a website to check on an MD, how do I know the site is really doing anything at all? Is there anyway to get TRULY objective info regarding the track record of an MD? I've posted several times to this list requesting recommendations for surgeons in San Francisco, haven't heard anything. I'm still open to imput PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. If you detect a note of desperation, I'm trusting a total stranger with my life and internal organs, while I'm friggin' unconcious! That makes me just a wee bit anxious and frightened. Thanks very much, , San Francisco
Guest guest
Amy, If you like your doctor, post the name! It seems especially hard for women to find good doctor. I am sure besides , others will benefit from your information. I am always grateful for good doctor references, for me and for current and new members. I know there are lots of women in the Bay Areas reading this group, but I don't see much recommendations and already a few requests. Guest guest
Hi! I totally hear you. I did a check on my IR (for UFE procedure) and the check said he wasn't board certified!!!!!! In the meantime, his websight says he is!!! and he told me he's done over 700 procedures!!! What to do? Who to trust? I dont' want to seem like I'm asking to many questions about his backround becuase he came to me highly recomemmended by to other doctors and someone else. He has even trained a lot of the IR's in my state on the procedure!!! He was not pushy with me at all and I really liked our consultation. but I just don't know how to approach him on this. Suggestions? Jen
