Fortunately my R.N. daughter has someone working in her department whose mother has RSD, so she seems to have an understanding. And when I ended up in the psych ward she talked to this nurse and found out her mother went through the very same thing. So I think that has helped a lot. She about fell over when the nurse told her her mom had RSD. said she was almost hesitant to tell her what was wrong for the same reason we do--they've never heard of it and have to go through an explanation.
