Guest guest
Dear Zoe, Good luck on your claim. So far I've never known anyone home assessed turned down, so keep your fingers crossed. Payment is backdated, so it's a nice windfall when it does come in. Yes, I have been able to work for the past 3 weeks, but the drive to and from work is proving exhausting and so is sitting for long periods, so I'm cutting down to 3 days per week for the time being to see if it makes a difference. I'm a Family Therapist in Older Adult Mental Health for the NHS (hence my knowledge that some of us out there in that big NHS do listen, as I like think that I do, or least, try to.) My clients, all over 65, have been just great about my hip problems as they and I are going through a lot of the same things, physically at least. My operation, on the NHS, was on November 26th, 2003---a whole 15 weeks ago now, so hence my membership of the 'turtles group', as I'm still getting quite a lot of deep tissue pain. Eleanor trying to stay possitive Thanks for the kind words of encouragement. The other day I think I was unuasually down about the whole thing. Im trying to stay possive and focus on how lucky I am. The kids are remarkable, depite having chunks of garlic in their ears, they have coped very well with all the hospital visits etc. Today I had a medical in my home by a SS doctor assesssing my disability claim. I think it went OK now its up to him to send a report to the 'DECISION MAKER'. How are you getting on Eleanor? Are you able to work? When was your opperation? Yesturday I dared to look at the graphic videos of an operation. Very gory but worth a look don't you think.?!? @ @ Love to you all " zoe ___ _____
