Guest guest
Hi;I am new to your group and very happy to be accepted. I weighed in today and have lost a total of 18 1/2 pounds so far, but it was not in the cards for me to lose this past week. I have a wonderful W.W lecturer, and she told me to just move on, and focus on what I have accomplished, and focus my intentions on where I want to be. I have lost 2 inches from my waist so far, and an inch or less elsewhere, so I am so happy about that.I write everything down that I eat in my diary. I believe that using all my flex points for the past 2 weeks may be a problem. Does anyone find they have a problem with using all their flex points each week? I joined March 1st this year, and did not use them (flex points)at all the first month. Used them sparingly the 2 nd month. May, I probably used 10 the entire month. The past 2 weeks I used all 35 each week. Result...I gained a pound this week. I do exercise, and I garden a lot each day from an hour to over 5 or more hours some days, when the need in my garden exists. Since I am a Master Gardener, and love to be outdoors, I help the grounds chairman in our subdivision with pulling weeds, advise on tree or shrub problems and care, etc. I like to walk, and do walk, but not everyday. Guest guest
Welcome Pat )!!!!!!! You *don't* have to use all your flex points. The only points that you're required to eat are your Target points. The flex points are there for when you're hungry. If you don't need them all, don't force yourself to eat them all. There are some of us who can eat all of them (and our APs) and still lose. Check your journals and use that vs. your weigh ins. How did you lose/gain and how many flex points you ate. That will determine how many you can use. Again, that number isn't a science, you still might gain even from that number (depending on other factors, such as pre-weigh in meals, salt intake, etc.). What many folks, who can't or don't want to eat all their flex points, is just subtract the difference and go with that. So if they find they can only eat 20 flex ponts a week and lose, they " forget " about the other 15 and just know that 20 is their number. I don't know if you're male or female, since Pat is unisex, or your age. But if your female, thre are other factors that can factor into that as well, depending on your age and if you still have TOM and all. pmfitzger wrote: I believe that using all my flex points for the past 2 weeks may be a problem. Guest guest
If you gained this week and nothing else has changed, you MIGHT want to cut down a little bit this week and see what happens. Everyone is so individual when it comes to how they can eat on this program. Some people can't eat a single FP (flex point), while others eat all their AP's (activity points) and FP's and still lose. I'm trying to figure out my middle ground too. I was doing Winning Points until last week and I like the Flex Points a little more than I did when it first came out. Let us know how this week goes for you and if you find a system that works. =) 175/157/130 I am new to your group Hi;I am new to your group and very happy to be accepted. Guest guest
Hi ; Thanks for responding to my question. It sounds like very good advice. Wasn't Winning Points where there was a range to follow. If that is the one, that is what I am trying this week using my lowest point in the range and sticking with that all week. By doing that yesterday, I have dropped a 1/2 pound on the scale this morning. Now 19 pounds lost, and hopefully forever. But, I also worked in the garden 3 hours yesterday. I didn't use any AP yesterday, and do not plan to all this week. To see how it goes. Someone asked if I was male or female...I am a 67 year old female, who loves to be outside.I grew up on a farm, but have lived in the city for 50 years. I have lived in 4 major cities in that 50 years due to my husbands transfers concerning his job. We are both retired. Guest guest
Hi Bette; Good to hear from you, and that you have never used your flex points. This helps me a lot. I never used all the Flex points all in one day, I used only a few each day. They said that I would still lose. Doesn't work for me. At least not now anyway. Pat Re: I am new to your group Hi Pat, and welcome to this group! To answer your question, personally I do not use all my flex points and never have. But you will find that others do use their points!! How nice that you have such a great WW leader! Bette in CA 278/187/

Guest guest
Pat, Yep, Winning Points gave you a 5pt range to work w/ plus a max of 4 AP's per day. That's what I started w/ and made lifetime on, but I couldn't seem to get back into it this year. Flexpoints is nice, 'cause if I have a bad night, I don't feel like I've totally screwed up my diet. =) I am new to your group > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
