I asked the laparoscopic surgeon about lupron prior to any kind of

surgery and also my regular ob/gyn about lupron prior to having a

UAE procedure (logic being that if UAE only shrinks a certain

percentage, wouldn't I be better off starting with smaller fibroids

prior to the UAE).

Both docs were very negative about lupron, saying that it causes

miserable side-effects in patients who have tried it. Also said

that it changes the texture of fibroids, which makes surgical

removal of fibroids more difficult if I should decide to go that

route.
