Guest guest
Yes gray white and orange is a dilute calico. I have one of those too and she is notorious for bring me clothing, towels and anything else she finds of interest but my clothes have to be in a closet or she drags them all over the house... Definitely some tortitude there! LOL She is also, like most calicos and torties, a very dominant cat in the house. *Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV Fat cat? Diabetes? Guest guest
Calico's are torties. That is their genetic color. They come in many patterns solid(black or grey with the red), solid and white (her sisters cat), pointed, pointed and white. Guest guest
I love black cats too! We have a big black Chausie. He is 23 pounds. Although he is large because he is an F2 (second generation from the hybrid cross). He is a sweet boy. His brother is sweet too and dumb and a post (he is a brown spotted tabby and white)! Guest guest
Glad I'm not the only black cat fan. People ask me why, and I always tell them that every witch needs her black cats... that usually either stops the conversation or prompts questions. You see, evey since I was little my brother (12 years older than I am) has called me a witch. He doesn't mean it in a bad way, it's just that I've always had someone watching over me. Guest guest
How fascinating! I have four cats, and Squeeker is our baby. I fostered him for the Humane Society when he was only a pound! It took him six weeks to get up to two pounds and by then, he thought he belonged to us. So we made it official. He's black, about 9 months old and I think he's ten or eleven pounds. Bigger than the other three! My big baby <grin>. Guest guest
Awwww, so glad that you rescued the kitten! I know how you feel. I have no use for people that treat animals like garbage. Guest guest
LOL, Yeah, that is why I decided I better shut up on the " cat " subject. But, I would like to say that my first cat was all black and I loved him very much!! My Aunt used to raise Siamese and they cried all the time, so my Dad wouldn't let me have one of her kittens! LOL My Dad didn't like pets being in the house so I didn't get to have many pets when I was growing up. Well now that mom is gone, Dad lives with me and my Zoo!! LOL He actually talks to the animals and 2 of my dogs visit him in his room regularly! The men can leave, but my animals are going NO WHERE! Guest guest
My guy is big because of his breeding. A Chausie is a newer breed that is Jungle cat (lesser cat/small cat/not in with Lions, Tigers, Cougars etc) X Domestic. He is a second generation from that original out cross. I have a domestic that is a black smoke and he is just plain fat! Probably 16 pounds.
