Guest guest
My kitty is up to 3 grains a day which is a whopping dosage, Hi Val and group, Just wanted to let you know Kayley is doing great! She's now on two grains per day, one am-one pm. The Vet told me she'd probably be on 4 grains per day depending on blood work and how she acts & looks. Kayley weighs 22#'s so maybe your kitty needs a little more? You know I can't get over how easy it was to work with the Vet. He says Armour makes sense to him but didn't realize it was still being manufactured. He said his Dad was a Vet and he remembered him talking about it. Anyway he wrote a prescription for 120 1 grain Armour tablets (no generic) with 4 refills. It cost me $20.00 for one month's supply. Kayley goes up a tablet every week till she's at four per day. Then I need to wait three weeks and bring her in for blood work. My daughter goes in on Friday to see my endo. I feel so guilty that I wasn't more aggressive with her stupid Doctors, but at the time she was dx'd with severe depression and anxiety attacks, I was so brain-dead from the Hypo myself. It wasn't until I got on the Armour and started thinking straight that I starting putting two and two together. We had a long talk yesterday and I told her she would start feeling like old self again and she told me she didn't even remember what that person was like. We both just started crying. I hate this disease. I just hope we can get her off the antidepressants and Zanax in the future. She's only 21. Cindi, if you're reading this any advice you can give me would be appreciated: I know you went through hell and have done a lot of research on the psychological aspects of this disease. I just want to say a sincere Thank You to all of you on this board. You have given me so much good advice and encouragement. From the bottom of my heart...Thanks.
