It is non prescription and usually behind the pharmacist. Check out the new signature. It is a wolf in incognito. The Dr. put me on prednisone and it took care of the hives, but the side effects were pretty huge. I am not sure if I would take steroids orally again JUST for hives, but boy that itching gets in your head in a way pain just doesn't. I still break out and have terrible hives and such, I just try to treat them other ways. I put ice packs on the hives sometimes.
