My son, he is 3 1/2 years old and his hair test shows very high level
of LEAD. It is 9 and the normal range is < 1 according to Pfiffer
treatment center IL. His blood test is normal for LEAD.

*Have you moved in the last 3 years or had new plumbing put in the house? Any

idea his source of exposure?

>

1. Did anybody did/doing chelation for the above case ( only because
of hair test shoes LEAD)?.
>

*Many chelate for lead and mercury at the same time since DMSA works for both.

Does Pfeifer have a hair testing lab of it's own or sdo they send it off for

analysis? If they send it off, where? Did they test for other metals and if so,

with what results?

>

2. Why blood test didn't show any LEAD ?
*Because doesn't stay in the blood for long. It goes into the bones, primarily,

and affects the brain. Takes a long time to get it out of the bones.

3. What are the side effects of chelation
Depends on what chelation agent you use, how much you give, how often, etc.

Consider Andy's protocol which you can find in the files of this list.
DMSA (dimercapto succinic acid)

There are difference of opinions about why LEAD is there in the HAIR
and not in Blood. My Sons' doctor is telling chelation is adviseble
only if LEAD is there in blood and if it high.

*Many conventional practitioners still say that despite all the info about lead

toxicity.

He is telling it is serious business.
It's definitely a commitment. Leaving the lead (or other toxic metals) in a

child is more serious according to many on this list.

Our problem is whom we can belive. We are worried ?.

That is the reason we want to hear from parents who did chealtion
based on the hair test.

thanks in advance
My daughter's hair lead level was 15 with the same reference range. After taking

ALA for about 10 rounds it had come down to 9.6 (ALA is not supposed to remove

lead). After about another 15 rounds with ALA and DMSA it has come down to 2.6.

Dagmar.
