Guest guest
Hi Lari, When I was awake in the middle of the night last night with 'crawly' legs and sore groin, (I neglected my before bed bath-but even that doesn't always work), I remember that I had forgotten to mention my best personal sleep help---my walkman tuned to Radio 4/BBC World Service. The World Service takes over Radio 4 about 1 am or so. 'Well modulated' talk invariably puts me asleep at least for a little while, and last night it was frustrating because, when I woke up 3 hours later, I realised that I had missed the end of the play I was listening to. About a month or so ago, in response to Sunita's sleep difficulties, lots of people wrote in their own personal sleep remedies. Most helpful. I gave my radio one then. (Are old e-mails organised anywhere by topic?) Don't know what you have found has helped most, Sunita? We are all different. I wonder if you made it into the bath? To the ballet class? Cheers (us slow ones need lots of them), Eleanor Re: Moving slowly/Eleanor Hi, Eleanor, Yes, something's strange about how hubby set this one up, but I'll figure it out. In the meantime, communicating with me on the group site's ok. But, even more, I'm happy to have your phone number. Give me some time to get up the strength for a chat, and I will definitely call you. You are right to assume that things are not going as well as I'd hoped, and I AM giving myself as much TLC as I think I need. I have so much pain in my joint/groin that I'm having trouble coping. Most meds make me sick. UGH. Talk to you very soon. Thanks, Eleanor Lari > > > > > Hello, Everyone, > > > > > > > > > > I've been a bit hesitant to write, but now feel a huge need > as > > I > > > am > > > > > seeking someone out there (anyone!) who is feeling similarly > to > > > > me. > > > > > On Jan. 29 I underwent a left-hip resurfacing in London for > a > > > long- > > > > > standing AVN (we're American expats living in the UK). Guest guest
Hi Lari and Eleanor For sleeping, different suggestions help at different times; I find that I have to change and vary my tactics to try to coax my body into some sleep! I am still taking a medication for restless leg and it makes me drowsy which sometimes help me to sleep. Last night was bad cause of new pain in operated leg/hip. Hopefully due to slight increase in walking and doing things at home. How are you Lari? sunita Re: Moving slowly/Eleanor Hi, Eleanor, Yes, something's strange about how hubby set this one up, but I'll figure it out.
