Guest guest
Hi Fred! Iit's great to hear from someone who's going to be in Belgium next week! Is anyone coming with you for the surgery? My sister is coming with me. We're arriving Tuesday, March 2nd at 8:20 AM in Brussels, Continental flight 60. Not much time preop to recover from jet lag, but I added a couple of extra days to the end of our stay to allow for the swelling to go down a little, and to do some touristy things if I'm feeling up to it. We'll be there until the 14th. Looking forward to meeting you. P. Guest guest
I know exactly what you mean only I have had OS stir me away from the resurfacing just because there isn't anyone here that does the procedure and it is not as popular. I have an appointment with JRI in LA and am taking the jump to have resurfacing done due to the same reasons as you, I am 41 and my reasons for choosing resurfacing ove THR is my age and the possibility of maybe needing a second THR in my lifetime. This way when and if I do need any revision done I will still have my femer in place and it would be like a first time THR. You age is a hugh factor in the decision along with your surgeons opinion if our are a candidate for resurfacing, which it appears that you are. I have been waging an inner battle with myself as to what route to take and it just make perfect sense to me to opt for the resurfacing at this stage. There is an abundant amount of information available on the web and this site and another site is surfacehippy . Check it out. I wish you all the luck whichever way you decide to go. Chuch at the Joint Replacement Institute in LA is full of information on resurfacing. I would suggest contacting him. Debi -- Re: Pre-Op Meds Hi Fred!
