Guest guest
For me, I HAVE to have the accountability of the weekly brick & mortar meetings. If I don't weigh-in one week, I'll probably end up overeating. Sometimes I stay for the leader talks...sometimes I don't. I prefer to stay if I have time, but if I have to squeeze it in during my lunchbreak, I usually just weigh-in and leave. That's just me. I know when I stopped going to meetings every week once I hit lifetime last year, I slowly stopped going to meetings at all. Thirty pounds later, I decided to kick my butt into high gear and I haven't missed a meeting yet. 166/153.6/130 (all-time high) going it on my own > > Hello friends, > > I am weighing the decision to continue going to meetings OR quit > going to > meetings and become an online subscriber > > I'm not sure how to decide. > > I like the meetings, but I'm finding it hard to find one that I > like. Guest guest
I've always attended the meetings, so I don't really have any comparison, but I find that works for me. The reason that works for me is probably because of my leader, though. She and I have become close friends during the past three years. She's a great WW leader and a source of constant support. She lives just a couple blocks from me (coincidence), and what a powerful motivator it has always been to know she will call me or drop by if she hasn't seen my smiling face for too many weeks in a row. Now that I'm lifetime, I don't go to meetings every week (but usually at least every other), but she still checks up on me from time to time. If you can find a good meeting with a good leader and/or good members, it can make a world of difference. That said, there have been lots of people that have done it successfully online, so as I said before, I have nothing to compare my experience to. But, for me, I think I need that " sponsor " support.
