when I switched from Synthroid to Armour, I went from 25 mg Synthyroid to 30 mg

Armour and they seemed the same to me.

Re: *Re: Losing weight grain/mgs/mcgs?

>>so what would .25 mcg. Synthroid be equal to<<

Less than a quarter grain of Armour.. actually comes to 18.5% of a grain of

Armour

That is such a minuscule amount of either of them I am surprised you could

" feel " either one! LOL

>>so 100mcgs of Synthroid = 1mgs?<<

NO! Armour has 38 mcg T4 per grain. It also has 9 mcg T3 which Synthroid does

not have.

For equivalent T4 you would have to take about 3 grains Armour but that is not

including the T3 which is four times as potent as T4 ... so with that in mind...

100 mcg Synthroid is close to (but not quite the same as!) 2.5 grains Armour.

All Armour's 60 MG are not T4 which is where the conversion gets tricky.
