Tory,

Just curious if the pudgy girls you speak of are white or African-American.

There's been a lot written about how overweight African-American girls have

better self-images, and fewer eating disorders than their white

counterparts. I imagine the flip side is that they are less motivated to

change their habits. Don't know the racial makeup of your students, but I

was wondering if you observed the same thing.
