Guest guest Posted March 18, 2004 Report Share Posted March 18, 2004 More folks should know about these -- they are doing wonders for me now and are about the only leg work I can do that doesn't aggravate my knee. They are also flat-out the best leg exercise I've ever done and they get everything in the hip and leg too. http://www.powerathletesmag.com/pages/pistols.htm You should work up to them over several months by using a chair or high stool first and gradually lowering it. He says to use a pole, but I think starting with a chair is better. Aim for good form. I would not start these sooner than 1 year post-op and only if you are in good shape.
