Guest guest
Thanks Diane. Very interesting and fascinating report from the Conference. Big change from the 2002 Dallas Conference when there was very little besides the Poster presentations of Amstutz's study. I am a 52 yr. tournament tennis player who is now competing again. My speed and strength on the court is improving all the time. I am constantly amazing my playing partners who saw me suffer with slow and stiff movement for 12 years and remember how fast I was prior to OA. For those of you looking for points of reference in rehabbing back to sports activity, I felt major improvements every 6 months. Also, don't forget to drink lots of water. Last year I had an ongoing problem with calf pulls/cramps for over 6 months, not realizing that I wasn't drinking enough H2O (duh)! Having been away from intense activity, my muscles/tissues weren't in the same shape as I was at age 36.
