Thanks Diane. Very interesting and fascinating report from the Conference.

Big change from the 2002 Dallas Conference when there was very little besides

the Poster presentations of Amstutz's study.

I am a 52 yr. tournament tennis player who is now competing again. My speed

and strength on the court is improving all the time. I am constantly amazing my

playing partners who saw me suffer with slow and stiff movement for 12 years

and remember how fast I was prior to OA.

For those of you looking for points of reference in rehabbing back to sports

activity, I felt major improvements every 6 months. Also, don't forget to

drink lots of water. Last year I had an ongoing problem with calf pulls/cramps

for

over 6 months, not realizing that I wasn't drinking enough H2O (duh)! Having

been away from intense activity, my muscles/tissues weren't in the same shape

as I was at age 36.
