Guest guest
9 % excess isn't that much excess body fat. I was under the impression that women are supposed to have around that much, or when you say excess, is that above the base amount you need for your body to function properly? Stepping it up a notch with personal training and... ...body mass calculation! I have 9% excess body fat. And I have real attainable goals. I will meet with my personal trainer once a month just to change up my excercise plan and fitness goals as I attain them. She worked me hard yesterday- we found muscles that I didn't even realize I had! I am excited...and am looking at the aspect of losing the excess weight as a bonus to gaining the benefit of a lifetime of fitness habits which I am building for myself. I highly reccomend the investment to anyone who is curious about what they can get out of these things.

Guest guest
That's awesome Clarisa! This Fall I want to take personal trainer training. I figured I could hire a PT or for a few hundre $ more I could take the training myself and get it straight from the horses mouth. What are your goals besides reducing body fat? Have you considered training for a specific event or fitness activity? I find training really focuses my workouts. I'm training for a triathlon which is on August 15, then beyond that a marathon (or half, haven't decided which yet) which is on November 28. I'll also do a half marathon in September and see if that's enough challenge, or if I should go for the whole shebang in November. Training for these things have kept me working out even on vacation. No one wants to get to an event undertrained and then bonk out midway through! I know I'd love to hear your goals! Do you mind sharing?
