Good luck. Dana

Do I ask his > doctor if he will order these tests and send them to that laboratory > or should I do them on my own and just pay cash? First, please read: http://home.earthlink.net/~moriam/HOW_TO_hair_test.html You can ask a doctor to sign, yes, that is one option, and it will cost less for the test if you do it this way. You CAN'T " just do it on your own " . The lab is legally required to have this test ordered by a licensed practitioner, they can't let consumers order it. (There are a couple of hair tests that CAN be ordered by consumers directly. Unfortunately the tests are not as complete. I have ordered one. There was some sort of " legaleze " I signed.) You can order the test " sort of " on your own through DLS-- see info at URL above. Also, Great Plains Labs is fine for the hair test--- they actually have the test run by DDI, so it is a DDI test. (You will see why I say this when you read the info at URL.....) Just be sure to get the hair elements rather than the hair toxic elements. > As far as hair > goes, does it have to be " new " hair? Does it have to be from the > root or just hair that was cut off about a month ago (his last > haircut)? the directions from the lab will say to use the inch of hair closest to the head (this is the " new " hair), and to cut it from the back of the head, near the neck. If you use older hair you will get an " older " result -- that is, you will find out what was going on at the past point. It is OKAY to use slightly older hair, although I have used " new " hair (and followed the directions) when I have done tests. I guess I would say that if there is a NEED to use older hair, okay. > > I live in a rural area and know of no doctor that is an expert in > chelation. this is very normal and common. Also, since " experts " vary WILDLY in what they recommend, even if you had several experts handy, they would likely all differ in their recommendations. > > I saw a few websites offering different products. One was oral and > another was a suppository (Detoxamin). Is any of this non- prescribed > stuff legitimate? Is there one 'method' that works or many that work > equally well? There are 2 main ideas I want to get across in response to your question. 1. IDEAS VARY WILDLY. NOT A LITTLE BIT. ***WILDLY*** I am not exaggerating, I am not making this up. I am trying to give you an idea what to expect. It is still likely to be really disconcerting, but figure at least " you have been warned " . " Rocky waters ahead " . Experts disagree on very basic things. 2. In my opionion (which is mine, subjective and biased by my ideas, experiences, etc), the following is the safest EFFECTIVE method that I know of: http://home.earthlink.net/~moriam/Andy_dose_sched.html This doesn't mean that other methods do not work FOR SOME PEOPLE, nor does it mean that this method will help EVERYONE, nor that it has no risks or downsides. You should also know that many people on THIS list use more or less the method outlined at the URL above. So on this list you are quite likely to be exposed to this set of ideas. On other lists you will be exposed to other ideas more. See #1 above. good wishes, Moria
Guest guest
I would look at doing Candex and No-Fenol first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, follow up 20/30 minutes later with a drop of GSE. After Breakfast when his stomach is empty again, give him the probiotics. At night when he goes to bed, give the probiotics again. This should help with Yeast and is a pretty " mild " approach that works very well for us. Regarding your experience with the HepB-MMR regression, that sounds to me like a likely case of the Measles Virus taking hold in the digestive track. You might want to look seriously at the Vitamin-A protocol to kill the measles virus off. We plan to do this sometime around round 30. Sounds to me like you aren't so " dumb " most of what you listed looks pretty " smart " to me .... :-) Good luck ! Neil [ ] not sure where to start Im new to the site. Im not really sure where to start. I have a 4 year old on the spectrum. Wesley talked in sentences and was very advanced at age 18 months. Had a Hep b shot and MMR, seized within a few days and didnt speak again until almost 3 1/2, lost eye contact, repeats lines, visual stims, constipation, etc. Right now he is on colostrum, Vit c, Multi vit/ multi mineral supp, glutathione, probiotics, Omega 3, and Cod liver, and krill oil. Just finished all the testing from Great plains laboratory but not sure what to do with the info. Recently we just started one drop of GSE in the morning and he now wakes up only once at night instead of every 30 min. tend to increase it slowly. Question - what should I attack next Chelation ALA, Viruses Virastop, OLE, Vitamin A, or what? How do you know what is most important. I feel like I should chelate, although I know he has virus issues, he spent most of his time in the hospital after the immunization. How do you know what behavior is connected to what biological issue. Sorry if I sound dumb, this is all new to me and I just want to do whats best for my son. Is it just trial and error. =======================================================
Guest guest
Welcome! Your questions are good questions, not dumb at all. First of all, did you get the Hair Elements Test when you did the Great Plains testing? If so, you can post the results here (there's a template in the files that you can cut and paste) and someone will help you interpret them to know if mercury, lead, or other metals are implicated. If you didn't get this test, you will probably want to order one. It does sound like you may be dealing with viral issues. One of our listmates has compiled a very helpful file on viruses, again in the files section. Please take a look at that when you have a chance. Many parents here started with chelation, if indicated, and then once the child had been chelated for a while, and is clearly doing well with that, they began an antiviral protocol. Chelation takes a long time to do right, and shouldn't be put off for longer than necessary. All the basic information you will need to implement a safe chelation protocol is, again, in the files (do I sound like a broken record yet? :-)) and of course you can always ask questions here. take care René > > Im new to the site.
