Guest guest
Jamy, I've been on delta for 3 months, before that I was on on cortef for 9 months. The delta is 2.5mg tabs so I can wean off by taking 2.5 instead of 5mg, then perhaps 2.5 every other day for awhile Lynda Re: test results - opinions please how long have you been on it
Guest guest
It would take you months of not being off to get a clean level. More importantly, stay on what you are since weaning is a slow and painful process and test both the saliva as well as a urine 24 hour burden. The saliva shows supposedly unbound or available cortisol The 24 urine should show all Re: test results - opinions please how long have you been on it
Guest guest
what inflammation do you think could be causing it to rise> What levels of ferritin do you feel would be best? I am going by my Dr who is one of the few that have been running long term studies on Ferritin and Hashi's. He said to never let it run over 100.and never below 70. Guest guest
Alison, no I didn't have the full blood count, can't afford everything at once so I thought the frees were more important. I did have the 2 antibody tests done and both were negative Lynda Re: test results - opinions please The ferritin isn't high and as usual with ferritin has to be considered in light of any autoimmune conditions [eg hashimotos] as its an acute phase reactant. and rises in response to inflammation. Guest guest
Cindi, that's why I started on adrenal support, I couldn't raise my armour. Another reason is that I was having an adrenal dump in the middle of the night and lying awake for hours. The theory is that if you support the adrenals during the day that won't happen. It definitely has helped, now if I wake up it is because I'm too hot but I do go back to sleep. Lynda (in the UK) Re: test results - opinions please I did too...i was SURE I had adrenal fatigue because after all..I'd been untreated for 15 years. But the truth is...I think my adrenals improved just from the Armour. And I actually think the best way to know if you need adrenal support is whether or not you can up your Armour without any problems.
