Guest guest
Must say very little virtually no discussion on NF2. There was only 1 other NF2er there, and I couldn't find her. Radiation discussion was very interesting as the radiologists say that it is a myth that AN tumors are harder to surgically remove after radiation. They believe surgical scarring is worse. Also that there are only 2 documented malignancies out of a database of 60,000 patients from radiation. I asked them to have this discussion in a room with surgeons and let each challenge the others, since this is so opposite what each says. Who to believe? Dr. Brackmann was there and discussed stats/history of AN research. But overall, had wanted more current research/clinical trials. They all maintain there are no trials, and we know that's not the case. So.... Barbara lin
