Guest guest
Dear Lori, Since I am new on this board I wasn't sure about the explanation of two Lori's. I did look in the bio file after reading your post and realized that there is another Lori although like I said I am new and just getting to know all of you. The year you had the major car accident was the same year I developed RSD from a horse accident. Once again I am heartbroken to read of such pain and sorrow. I hope that this group has been helpful to you in the past and takes a bit of the isolation away at times. I know you don't know me but I still want to invite you to email me directly if you would like to continue OR of course continue posting on the board as well. We are all in this together and are here to help each other manage......... I was in Major car accident in 94 which actually started all of my problems. Even the orthopod even had in his notes " RSD? " Even while he was telling me it was all in my head. That I just Wanted the drugs, ant then there was yu are just lazy and don't want to go back to work. What he didnt realize was that he had missed a Lisfranc Disruption,or that the bones in my mid foot had been shoved together broken and were not even close to how they should be. Not to mention the small bone chips in my hip joint from the impact. There was also teh small problem of my lower back and a closed headinjury they missed. You would have thought the 2 maxillary fractures, upper jaw, would have led them to that. I have been through 2pain clinics 3-4 orthopods, 2 physical med docs, oral surgeons, ENT specialist, Psycheiatrists, Therapists, Physical therapists, More than 9 surgeries (most of > which have been 2 to 5 surgeries at the same time) having my foot fused twice, untold varities of x-rays, ER visits to break Pain Crisis. Please realize that this is the short version. Have 2 daughters with type 1 Diabetes, an Alcoholic Ex, since 2001. Live in Michigan, have no true support system as have been cut off from family, mine because of ex, his because of him. Been through what most of you speak of, yet get to deal with Workers Comp. who can and will put you in dispute for any reason, even if just missed a Doc. appt. Do have my SSD, have had since 96. When I applied they went back a few years. Though I can't use my Medicare or Medicaid for anything related to my Comp case as this would be fraud. I do have Carple Tunnle in both hands which makes using cane difficult and unfortunately fell almost 2 mos. ago when left leg disappeared on me. Hit it just right so that I have to keep it immobilized,or may be facing surgerie, which may mean loss of right hand from now on, > this has really kept me shut in, since whenever I use my cane makes my entire arm wakes up,from fingers to right side of scalp. > Well so now you have the short of it, yes there is more, believe it or not. > > Blessings of Love, Hugs and Peace > Lori >
