Guest guest
I too had some difficulty when I was 40 ish. By having an endometrial ablation, I was thankfully able to avoid having a hysterectomy. Sounds like the ablation provided the same relief as the Depoprovera. They started me on Depo after several years of heavy periods and horrible PMS. I had my tubes tied 20 years ago, and knew that children were not in the future for me. I had several D & C's, etc. and it was depo or a partial hysterectomy (at 40!!) I have not had a period since then (and I love that). My husband knows when I'm due for a shot, as I start getting a bit anxious and PMSy.. I have not had any ill effects at all. I would NOT advise it for someone who may want to have children in the future. If you want more info, you can email me privately...
