No gluten/casein/dairy/soy, etc. Unique E is the best one I've come across so far. It's a multi- complex of natural forms. http://www.acgraceco.com/mainhome.html I think a good tocotrienol product (the other type of vitamin E) is a good compliment to a tocopherol supplement like this, especially since tocotrienols are even more potent as free radical scavengers, I believe. I'm currently taking one that's combined with co-q10: Ultra Trienols http://www.drpressman.com/Library/UltraTrienols.htm Suze

You know, they are adament in their marketing literature that there is no soy oil in the product and I think I assumed that it was not soy derived having glanced at these claims. But I just checked the website and it says... " A.C. Grace pays 275% more than the average vitamin E to ensure that there is no soy or any other vegetable oil left in the product. " http://www.acgraceco.com/whyunique.htm Thus indicating that it probably IS soy-derived (at least partly). But perhaps they ARE somehow able to get all the other oil components out of the product, which could be why your son isn't reacting to it...?
