Guest guest
Hi, I saw a doctor today in Sydney, Australia to discuss chelation. He uses the DPMS challenge test as part of his testing protocol. I told him that based upon what I'd read on the internet I was not prepared to do this test. His reply was that they'd tested hundreds of patients and not had any bad reactions; he did state that they ensured that the IV drip took a total of 10 minutes to be administered. However, he strongly believes in Electro Dermal Screening using a device he referred to as the Listen test. So, in order to proceed with this guy regarding chelation, I have to undergo Listen testing, which I'm prepared to do. However, when I asked him what he uses for mercury chelation, he said DMSA. And, according to the protocol put forth by the International Board of Clinical Metal Toxicology, www.ibcmt.com, they advise 3 days on, 11 days off. And, the frequency of dosage they recommend is that DMSA be taken every 8 hours. So, what I'm asking is, does anybody know anything about this organization and have any comments regarding it? Their Web site does not really reveal much. I must admit I'm very tempted just to get ALA and go it alone, although I'd prefer to take it with either DMSA or DMPS. I've heard stuff like this from doctors too. It is confusing. I have also heard people (in person as well as on the internet) describe their bad experiences with DMPS IV! >> And, the frequency of dosage they recommend is that DMSA be taken every 8 > hours. I could comment on the every 8 hours thing, but I don't know about the organization. I'm not sure the organization matters a lot. I guess it doesn't to me, personally. There might be things about the group that are wonderful. But I think that every 4 hours DOES matter, and in relation to that I don't feel like the organization matters one way or another. But the group may have other good or bad points, or useful initiatives, or whatever. > > I must admit I'm very tempted just to get ALA and go it alone, although I'd > prefer to take it with either DMSA or DMPS. You can buy DMSA without a perscription. Here is a listing of sources: http://home.earthlink.net/~moriam/HOW_TO_buy_DMSA.html Moria

My question was more from the perspective " the doctor I saw who does chelation believes said organization has experts " , therefore, does anyone on this list know anything about these guys? Or, at least heard of them. Let me assure you, if I take DMSA it'll be every 4 hours or every 3 if combined with ALA. > > > > I must admit I'm very tempted just to get ALA and go it alone, >although I'd > > prefer to take it with either DMSA or DMPS. > >You can buy DMSA without a perscription. I know if can be repetitive if you already know, but I sometimes prefer to err on the side of saying it again " in case " . And some people don't feel it is important, which is okay with me, but best if people at least are informed about it. > > > I must admit I'm very tempted just to get ALA and go it alone, > >although I'd > > > prefer to take it with either DMSA or DMPS. > > > >You can buy DMSA without a perscription.
