In LA, give the Joint Replacement Institute a call

Drs Amstutz, Schmalzried and Beaule have been doing resurfacing,

as well as THR. They and their staff are some of the best in the business.

Resurfacers in LA Area?

Has anyone seen an OS in the LA area who resurfaces as well as does THR?

If you do, I'd like your thoughts, opinions and recommendations.

Thanks, That was what I was looking for. I'm due to get an OS consult next week

from my FP. Have you had first hand experience or know of someone who has had

with them. They're associated with the LA Orthopedic Hosp, aren't they? Is

resurfacing FDA approved so that you can get insuramce coverage?

Is this approved in the states or do you have to have it done as experimental

and not covered by insurance?

To whom it may concern: I interviewed Dr Amatutz and Dr Schmaliered and had

my BHR done by Dr. De Smet in Belgium and I am glad I did. He simply gave me

more confidence. Enough confidemce to travel to Europe instead of haveing it

done in LA where I live. JB
