Guest guest
> My son is taking Glutithione. It's a gel I rub onto the inside of his thighs. I've been reading in the files about Glutithione and now I'm confused and concerned. If I understood correctly, it said it is bad to take if sulfur is high, so I got out my son's tests to see and it showed he was a little high, not much. Then on another test it showed the need for Glutathione at 7 in a 1 to 10 scale. So I'm confused, does he need it or not? What might it be doing to him if he doesn't need it? What should I be looking for? It actually seems like he's had some improvements since he started it a week ago. Could someone please help me here. Also, what's a good way to lower sulfur? Thanks. > Hello Diane, There is great confusion about this sulfur issue. I guess it is confusing stuff! Anyway, when Andy talks about high or low sulfur he means the sulfur that is measured by a plasma cysteine test. (Note that cystEine has an E in the middle. It is NOT the same as cystine or even cyst(e)ine.) Plasma cysteine is a blood test. You might have a test with this on it, or you may not. It is not the same as hair sulfur or any other " sulfur " readings. I don't know if this is helpful or not. I can suggest that you read the section on sulfur and thiols, here: http://home.earthlink.net/~moriam/ANDY_INDEX.html#sulfur good wishes, Moria
