Guest guest
On Monday, the medical school here is sponsering a free talk by Barry Meier, NY Times journalist who " explores the troubling issues rained by OxyContin, a arcotic orginally manufactured for cancer patients and chroinc pain sufferers. " I have an appt with a surgeon to have a facial squamous cell removed (and my stretched out and torn pierce ear hole sewn up) right before it but I am hoping to get over to hear this guy. I am on this medication, as many of us are, and i hope that this guy's ranting about it isn't too upsetting. I considered not going but figured it might be interesting. Lordy, i hope it doesn't worry me more than I am about being on it. If anyone is interested, I'll try to remember enought to report back!! Uh oh, what did I say I would do? And I think I might remember enough of the lecture to tell you all!! Ha! Good luck! Hope the snow doesn't cancel it.
