Guest guest
You'll be fine. Don''t let them change what you already know. If it works for you, stick with it. If not, that's another story. I used MSContin for at least 5 years, which is really the same thing, but the base is Morphine instead on Codeine. I only stopped because I had a " hissy fit " about taking drugs all the time. So my pain Dr. suggested that I try the Duragesic patch instead. It sorta does the same thing, but a lot of EDS folks have problems with skin breakdown, it not sticking and it not lasting the 3 days., etc. I have some problems with my skin, but over the years, I've built up a little extra supply & if I see I'm having a skin problem, I take it off early & change the place. It's a very personal call, so don't let anyone else's experience who may be very opinionated, change how you feel, if you feel good with it. I have absolutely no symptoms from it. It doesn't effect me at all. To me, it's like using nothing, but I've used it for years. Good luck on you upcoming procedures, you'll be in my thoughts.
