You'll be fine. Don''t let them change what you already know. If it works

for you, stick with it. If not, that's another story. I used MSContin for at

least 5 years, which is really the same thing, but the base is Morphine instead

on Codeine. I only stopped because I had a " hissy fit " about taking drugs

all the time. So my pain Dr. suggested that I try the Duragesic patch instead.

It sorta does the same thing, but a lot of EDS folks have problems with skin

breakdown, it not sticking and it not lasting the 3 days., etc.

I have some problems with my skin, but over the years, I've built up a

little extra supply & if I see I'm having a skin problem, I take it off early &

change the place. It's a very personal call, so don't let anyone else's

experience who may be very opinionated, change how you feel, if you feel good

with it.

I have absolutely no symptoms from it. It doesn't effect me at all. To me,

it's like using nothing, but I've used it for years.
