Guest guest
Hi everyone-- I hope one of you can help me out. Due to a secretary's error, my new prescription for morphine was not mailed out in time. I find myself with no morphine and not being able to get any until Monday evening at the earliest. My doc's answering service will not take a message that has to do with prescriptions, so I cannot make him aware of this mess. Do any of you know what will happen when I start to withdraw from the morphine? I have heard it can be dangerous and, if so, I will go to an ER for help. But then, I have heard that ER docs think that RSD patients are only looking for a drug fix and will not help. Please, if anyone can give me any info, tell me as soon as you read this. I need your help. Helen
Guest guest
Helen wish was able to help but unless you know your doctors home phone number to call him have no clue. Perhaps could call the ER of your hospital and tell them what has happened and if would be dangerous for you to go 48hrs without the morphine, would think they would tell you and even tell you they would give you shot of morphine until Monday? I had that happen once and was able to get help from ER over week-end when my doctor did not take care of med for me. I sure am sorry. That has got to have you very concerned Helen and can understand why. Iam sure the nurses on here will be able to give you help. Will pray for you Helen JoAnn s Momma Need help ASAP > > > Hi everyone-- > I hope one of you can help me out. Guest guest
, I sometimes have that happen to my knee's. I always blame it on age and arthritis. If it's not gone in few day's are you going to have it checked out? I pray it's not the RSD spreading. Probably not. I get nervous every time something or some joint hurts thinking it's spreading but alas it goes away. Here's to a great week for us!
