But yes, a couple of folks here take it before bedtime. Adding that 15 mgs shouldn't hurt you at all. In fact it is recommended with Armour to split ones dose during the day - although some folks do better with taking it all in the morning. If you take it by 2:00 it shoulds affect your sleeping. Also, for months and months I had trouble falling asleep. I would be SO tired..but just couldn't fall off to sleep. I had been tested and knew I had elevated cortisol (which can cause that). Elevated cortisol comes from stress...also physical stress. Around my 8th month of treatment all of a sudden the insomnia was gone. I figure as my hypo got much better my body was more relaxed and things sorta straightened out. So hang in there. I also used some melatonin for a while to help me sleep. That worked pretty good. cindi

Guest guest
I've recently started multi-dosing. I split my dose into 6 and take it throughout the day, the last bit just before bedtime. Works for me but everyone is individual. If it doesn't disturb your sleep then it's fine Lynda (in the UK) evening dose Does anyone take Armour before bedtime??? I only take 60mg first thing in the morning.I have added 15mgs in late afternoon.Wondering if this is alright ???
Guest guest
You might want to try an evening dose. I take my thyroid in four doses the last one being at bedtime and I sleep better than I used to. This morning I woke up took my AM dosage which is huge, and then went back to bed and slept another 2.5 hours! Of course I am still worn out from the past three days grooming, but still! *Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV Fat cat? Diabetes? Guest guest
You know, I'm the insomniac queen. I try multiple remedies in hopes of going to sleep. I am now trying dosing around the clock with my thryroid and adrenal support, talking a lesser dose in evenings. It made sense to me that if it depletes out of your body then you might need some of it to keep the body in balance. I 'might' be a little better about sleeping... just started this a few nights ago and can not tell if its really working or not just now. I can say that I'm staying 'up' in the afternoons and crashing more in the evenings. Last night I 'crashed' right at bedtime... I crashed... but couldn't go to sleep!!! Hopefully, time will tell... and balance all the different systems within. Happy Thanksgiving... boy am I stuff from our dinner!!!!
