We actually asked them to " turn up " the t-coil setting on Ian's new aids.

Then they worked.(shrug) Who knew?! I thought " on " was simply " on " ... I didn't

realize it was an adjustable setting. Live and learn.

We recently realized that the telecoil settings on Eleanor's HAs were not

doing anything with the phone, and finally put together the cordless phone

- interference issue. I can be very slow to connect the dots...

Which phone did you buy, and what type of hearing aids does wear?

I don't know what determines interference, but Eleanor's aids are Widex

Senso C9+, which are digital and have three settings: microphone,

telecoil, and the two together.

I've heard from others that sometimes you need to let your audiologist

know that you WANT the telecoil activated - we've not run into that

ourselves but I think others have. Also, we found that our oldest

cordless phone - it's a 900 mhz - works best for them. Much better than

the 2.4 ghz or the 5.8 ghz phones.
