Guest guest
Thank you so much. I am trying to get that other mom to call me so I can pass on this information. I fell bad talking negatively about a doctor- but my son's treatment was affected by a doc who did not follow the method and I hate to see someone go through that. thanks so much. Remind me, if you don't mind what did you end up doing for a dr for Grace? Thanks so much! Re: Dr. & Dr. Frick I am the one other parent that you spoke with about Dr . I would not recommend him personally. He did not at the time follow the Ponseti method and never once even mentioned using it to me. IN fact at my very first appointment with him he claimed only a 50% success rate in avoiding the more extensive surgeries. He performed a tenotomy on my daughter before she was ready for one and it is also my belief that he may have done some damage to her ligaments. Grace screamed bloody murder through each casting. I know also prior to my daughter being treated by Dr there was at least one other parent on this board that had similar complaints about him. I believe several on this board have had to go to Dr Ponseti after being treated by Dr for further casting....yet for some reason his name is still listed on the list of qualified physicians. Dr Frick was recommended to me by Dr Ponseti and Dr Herzenberg although Dr is much closer.......that in itself would be a red flag to me. and Grace > Hello! Memory is telling me that there is someone else on this board who I chatted with about Dr. in Raleigh, NC besides Jenn (of course). If you are out there can you e-mail me. How about Dr. Frick in NC. Does anyone go to him? I know I have referred families there since we saw him. There is a expecting mom who is trying to pick a doctor and I trying to help her gather information. She actually posted on this board. I am so excited to see the paretns to be on the board. I wish I had found you guys earlier in 's treatment. What a great resource everyone is... > > Thanks, > > > >
Guest guest
Ughh! I did not mean to post that to everyone. I am such a nice person. I feel about about " not recommending " doctors- but those of us who have had treatment screwed up know what it is like to start all over. I want to save anyone I can from that experience!
