Also, if I'm having an especially hard time, I'll dig out my favorite pair of jeans and hang them on the outside of the closet door (or in the kitchen, if that becomes necessary!) for motivation. (2) continuing to pursue new goals now that I've reached lifetime. Now, instead of weight loss, I'm focusing more on living a fit lifestyle. I am trying new things, like rock climbing and mountain biking, things I would never have had the courage or ability to do before. I am constantly setting fitness goals, accomplishing them, and right away thinking " okay, what's next?! " I've discovered that what you eat can REALLY affect your performance when working out, so now I think twice before eating something unhealthy because I know I have to get up and run the next day, which I must do to be able to do the race I'm signed up for at the end of that month, season, year. " you think I'm so big, you can't fit your ass in my yet " . I will conquer them, wear them, and then have them be too big for me, just to shut their taunting up! Short term goal being able to wear a sun dress and look great in it,not just o'k.Looking in the mirror and liking myself more every day. Short term: I was able to wear a little fitted skirt/jacket outfit to church on Sunday, and actually be able to move, sit, and even breathe in it for the first time ever!!! I have done things in the past two years that I never would have done if I hadn't lost weight. I have taken belly dance classes, water skied, taken up Tae Kwon Do, and most recently I went roller skating with my 6 year old. I also signed up for a welding sculpture class which isn't directly weight related but I have more confidence in myself now so I'm more outgoing and adventurous and more likely to try all sorts of new things.
