Guest guest
Hi Kori, I have been going to Shriners for a while, but My DR. is not there due to his wife being Preg. and needing him to spend more time at home.... I guess. I was told he will not be there for at least 3 or 4 mo. and I am needing shoes sooner then that. When talking about shipping, it's a joke we always use here in Hawaii:) ha ha.... But the cost is in that range, and there is only one outlet for Ortho shoes and products here. I would not Joke about something like that:) I had to buy a few before going to Shriners, so I know. There is no other Dr. that has enough training in this method to give me the proper care at Shriners, and do not want to be stuck with someone I will have to fight with...( we all know how that is) Anyhow, I was just looking to see if there were any, if not...like I said, I will manage:) We have before:) Thanks anyhow. and take care:) Aloha Carole
Guest guest
Carole, I remember in a past post someone had mentioned contacting Markell yourself and left the contact info. Were you able to try to do that the people there are very helpful and nice. Or try to contact the other person that sells them for $60/pair? Good Luck!!! Guest guest
I just had one more thought, I have called Shriners when Collin use to be a patient there in our pre-ponsieti method days and I remember I just said he has outgrown his shoes and we are not due to be seen for xx amount of time could you please send us the next size via the mail to save us the trip. They did and didn't even charge us for the shipping because Shriner's is great like that. Just a thought, I know the shipping is not expensive from Philadelphia to New Jersey when they sent to us, but it is worth a try...the most they can tell you is now. Good Luck and I hope it works out I'm sure it's worth a phone call to them. Please keep us updated! Michele
Guest guest
I use FedEx a lot because they are reasonable, I actually have ordered board shorts etc from Hawaii quite a few times. If you have them shipped using a fexex pak, they come in all types of sizes I use them a lot. From NJ to Hawaii overnight before 10am is only like $35.00 and to get something 2nd day is only like $20.00 for a 2lb object in the pak. Maybe you can call a company here like Markell and suggest they use FedEx then your only looking at like $60 to $80 for the shoes and $20 - 30 for the shipping. Good Luck I wish Collin would outgrow his so I could send them to you, I know what it feels like to be financilly strapped, we have deffiantly been down that road before. I'll stop posting now I have just been brain storming. You can get rates estimated if you goto fedex.com. michele
