Guest guest
Hi Sharon, actually I probably should of mentioned that I figure that was just one of the reasons I was a slow loser..I lost 66 lbs to get to my WW's goal, and it took me 16 months to do it..I have now gone below it. I think that maybe there were a lot of other things that I just took for granted or never really thought about. I kind of think that maybe 1/2 banana is a serving size, so a lot of days I would of had 4 servings of these plus my other fruit intake.. and I know that too much of certain fruits can slow me too..so I was really using a lot of them.. I thought that maybe someone else just might find that they are doing something similiar and this would make them think, hey, I am doing this or that, and I am having a hard time getting out of a plateau or I am just plain losing really slow too, and I think I should try cutting back a little on this or that and see what happens. Sometimes just a little jog of the memory will help someone else. At my WI this month I was down just a hair from the 50's, I will post it at the end. I wasn't worried that I should cut bananas out now completely or anything because I love them too much, and I am on maintenance, rather I just wanted to put a bug in anyone's ear who may need info like this..lol... You mentioned WW and bananas yrs ago, but I find now they don't do a whole lot of mentioning on foods like I hear they used to..anyway thanks for your imput here, appreciate it... ~Kallie 221/149.8 (June WI) WW goal was 155 In Serious-Weight-Watchers , " sharon hill " <skhill@c...> wrote: > Kallie: > I have always heard when dieting one should limit their intake of bananas because of the sugar. Personally though, bananas are my favorite fruit, but I believe many years ago when I was doing WW, we were only allowed 1/2 a banana & it seems like that was only once or twice a week; can't remember for sure. Jeepers though, if you have been losing weight while eating them, I don't think I would change anything until I might hit a plateau. Just my 2 cents worth, as I have always heard a lot about bananas too. > Sharon
