Guest guest
Hi, Maybe I can help. Dr. Ponseti always comments on the dorsiflexion when we send him pictures of her foot bent at the ankle. I'm not on my regular computer so I don't have access to an example right now. It would be similar to this picture: http://www.personal.psu.edu/users/r/l/rlg187/clubfoot/ 1_Week_DBB_2.jpg but with the foot on a straight surrface (like lengthwise on the finger). It's to show how far you can bend her foot up comfortably. The rotation on the mitchell shoes is adjustable and I guess it was set at 60 degrees and Dr. P wants it to be 50? I forget what tools you need to do that, we don't have shoes anymore. But, there is a notch on the underside of the shoe that is pointing at the number of rotation it's set at. I'm sure if you call he can talk you through it. Good luck, sorry you're frustrated. Things will get better.
