Caroline,

nice to have you back and am glad you enjoyed your holiday! I'd say you did quite well on the weight also you lost 2 pounds while gone!

I'm back!

Hi AtkidsI have just got back from a fantastic painting holiday in France. Sadly, the weather wasn't as good as it was meant to be, but at least with a holiday like this, we could just head for the studio. You

Hey Tory! Nice to see you're back.

I used to work for SBC and TDS Metrocom as a tech supervisor - yes,

you unfortunatly do need a land line for DSL - yes, most DSL

providers LEASE the POTS from the local vendor. Basic service is

minimum. FCC hasn't done squat about it - I think it's a rip off -

monopolizing the telephone industry and holding it hostage.

Hey...why don't I work there anymore? Oh, that's right I have

opinons....and I don't know when to shut up. Never seems to mix

well in a monopoly-industry.

Cable and Cell phones are going to take over - and the landline

people did it to themselves!

Good luck to you!!

I can just see you laughing away and making fun of the idiocy.

Oh what people do pay for prestige and pomp sometimes. Now, the sad part

is that it did once buy you service beyond compare but often the ritzy

and expensive no longer have that service. In retail its very true, it

lodging somewhat. Now, I do still find on the whole the fancier, more

expensive restaurants do provide an exceptional level of service, at

least here. After all, thats what you're paying for. Otherwise you'd

just cook at home.
