This is really good! I like it. A different perspective on things.

IMPROVING YOUR AVERAGE WORST DAY

One of the most interesting concepts I learned while preparing for the

Olympics was the importance of improving your " average worst day " each

month. The day that you want to go back to bed and do nothing. The weekend

that students want to leave their books in their locker and do nothing.

Rather then trying to find ways to improve your performance on your best

days, you will be far better off if you focus on improving your effort on

your " worst days " each week/month. The more that I have studied this

technique, the more that I have seen its value in every aspect of my life.

People who are unsuccessful in weight loss, smoking cessation, exercise

programs or saving for their retirement, generally fail during " their worst

or weakest moments " . People who are high performers (in sport, business and

life) are usually successful because they don't let their " low days get too

low " . This week I want you to consider how you can improve your efficiency

and performance during your worst days this week. It may mean getting out

for a ten-minute walk (rather then doing no exercise because your day is too

busy). It may mean leaving one more cookie in the box (after you have

already ate a dozen of them). It may mean putting in just two quality phone

calls from your office or writing one good letter before you go home early

on a day that your head just wasn't into the job. Think of ways you can

improve your " average worst day(s) " this week. Using this technique your

overall health, finances and quality of life can improve more then you could

have ever imagined.
