Oooo!!! Shopping!! I can clear a Wal-mart. Three of us together could

clear a SUPER Wal-Mart. Seafood works for me. I've been dying for

fried shrimp for some reason. Usually I go for the grilled shrimp or the

scampi, but fried shrimp is calling me.

Last weekend, hubby and I took out for our first anniversary, and I was dying

for lobster or prawns... and couldn't find any. :-( Therefore, I haven't

I am 5 1/2 weeks post op. I keep watching the seafood commercials and my mouth

is watering for shrimp and lobster. When is it safe to eat that kind of

seafood. I have eaten sole and talapia and had no problems.

Hey, I'm sure they would have some wonderful soup that you could have, just

strain out any veggies. That's what I always did when I was a new postie.

Still managed to eat out occasionally. Mashed tatoes are great for newbies

Scary thing happened to me today. I swear I am having PMS. I wanted (for

the first time since surgery) to eat everything in sight. My surgery was

1/21/03. i am 5 wks out tomorrow. up to 4 weeks out, you are on liquids

and soft foods starting week 4. I have done this for about 2 weeks now.

Egg salad, tuna, shakes, beans mashed up, potatos.. cream soups, protein

shakes.

This morning........ I was able to finish my whole 10 oz protein shake @ one

sitting (over 30 minutes). Then I took an early lunch and went to Taco Bell

to get beans/cheese. Never got that!!! I got one hardshell beef taco, no

lettuce or tomato. I went back to work and slowly ate the whole thing minus

one bite. Yes, I felt full, but I did NOT feel nor did I get sick. THIS

SCARED THE CRAP OUT OF ME! Why on Earth was I able to eat that?!!? I feel

fine. No dumping, no upset stomach. This is like the first " food " I have

had. And, RED MEAT ground up to boot>>????

I am going to see my surgeon for 6 wk follow up on Monday. In my head, I am

saying " ok, I am the one person this isn't going to work for " . I haven't

lost an ounce in almost 2 weeks. YES, I have lost 40 lbs in the first three

weeks... but nothing since.

What could be going on? Now, I have to admit to my doc that I had temporary

insanity and ate a stinking taco! I still can't believe I did that.

And, old habits die hard. Now, I think...... well, I wonder what would

happen if I tried a mini kit kat or somthing. I can not and have not done

that, but it's in my head.
