Guest guest
I just wanted to let everyone know that if Im not on the boards for a while its because my fiance, has just been diagnosed with emphesyma today. He has been in the hospital for 3 days now and I am just praying that it is in its early stage. You have all been very supportive of me through RSD and everything. I want to thank you all for that. All I need is as many prayers as can be offered for during this very scary and trying time. He is so afraid. He had triple bypass in December of 1997 and only quit smoking for about 6 months and picked it up again. His doctors and I have warned him for a long time now that if he didnt stop, it could affect his bypass, give him lung cancer, or emphesyma. His heart is fine but he is down to 50% lung capacity. He doesnt smoke nearly as much as he used to but he is very young. He will be 40 in March. I smoke also and as soon as my carton is gone, IM QUITTING for good. I watched my Faternal Grandma die from it and now my Aunt in TN too. I know how dangerous smoking is and had already planned to quit before I turned 40. I will be 37 on November 23rd. Its time. If this helps ANYONE else to think twice and possibly quit, it could save some more lives. We know its bad for us but sometimes still think that its ok. Well, I dont think so anymore. Please, any prayers you can offer I know will help. I love you all, Rhonda
