Guest guest
First thing Sandy:) Is relax. I KNOW a few people that have had that op and are FINE. I myself have bad tumors in spine and had C1 thru C7 radiated FRS almost 3 years ago. So it really depends on your Dr the answers your given. My first neuro told me that the spine was inoperatable and also id be died in 2 years. My new Dr says " your doing great " and I am. That you are active still says that you are too!!! You need to look into your treatment options and decide what is right for you. You need to ask your Dr if hes performed this type of op before, some havent or have very little experience. Dont be afraid to ask questions. Dont try to sheild your family from this either:( You need and deserve their love and support. They deserve to know whats going down with you. Very scary time for u:( I understand. Has your Mom ever been tested for NF?? I dont know what an AC op is:( That she has bad balance makes me wonder. Basically too, you need to know your not alone. All of us here are in the same boat. Good to have you aboard. Hugs to you~~Lori Re: Sandy > > > Sandy..I have not had that operation, but know that my prayers are with you. > Carol > > > >
Guest guest
wanted to post earlier but no time. sandy, any surgery especial those c spine ones are risky but I promise you there have been many who are ok after the OP. Being 55 will make it harder I'm sure, I was 14 when the did c2,3 and 30 when did c6,7, I walk, drive and do everything but run. Onefor me was horrendous pain and the other was painless, go figure. but even the painful one turned out ok and he pain meds are muchhhh better now. also note if you wake up very weak you usually improve, i woke up last aug from surgery cudnot move legsat all, but recovered. ine in australia i believehad a c spine surgery last year, she is around your age and can maybe offer insight. Guest guest
The reason I was takin a statin is because the doctor kept me hypo when I was on an antithyroid drug for graves. It says on the prescribing information that people with hypothyroidism must be monitored closely.
Guest guest
Sandy, why don't you call the office and ask them to send you a copy of the lab reports. Or, if you're close, just go by and request them. Many people find that when they limit carbohydrates, their cholesterol goes down. Going low carb does not have to mean high fat. Guest guest
Steph, It was about 3 weeks into taking aromasin where I started noticing the joint pain. And no it hasn't effected my sleeping. I have absolutely no trouble sleeping. Sandy --- sjandtj_ve wrote: > How long was it you started having the joint pain > when you started > taking the Aromasin?
