Guest guest
Hi there, I also had heartburn and I am taking lansoprazole. That is what the doctor gave me. I also have a mouth sore. I have been rising with salt and baking soda. It tastes nasty. The doctor also gave me a medicine called magic mouth wash. I hope that it gets better. I go for my second treatment on the 6th. I hope I don't cry. I wanted to cry today when I went for my blood work. Just being there, the same place where I got my chemo. I hated it. Good luck to all .. Keep strong.. that is what I tell myself.. Signia in Minneapolis --- Ann Weiss wrote: > Hi Jen, > > Just saw your latest post...you mentioned mouth > sores and heartburn. Just being there, the same place where I got my chemo. I hated it. Good luck to all .. Keep strong.. But crying is cathartic...and it cleanses the body of toxins...and, most importantly, it's not a sign of weakness I think, for me, its a sign of strength---an d a compltely appropriate response... I keep strong--and cry---not alot, but enough Marisa (done with A/C; had my 4th round of taxotere/herceptin today - 8 more to go...and I cried today...just so overwhelming sometimes...) peace __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Signia: I found some stuff (by accident) at WalMart called " Biotene " . It's actually developed for dry mouth, but has enzymes to heal and prevent mouth irritations. They had both a toothpaste and a mouthwash...I'm using both. They have a decent mint flavor (I can't say I was much into the baking soda - ick! : ) Seems to be keeping the sores at bay pretty well. I hope you find some peace...this is pretty much a depressing situation (I call it my " cool new hobby " ), but I try to limit myself since being depressed is pretty much an exercise in futility (I still gotta go : ) I was in the waiting area with 2 other women when I went to get my port that were discussing their pending boob jobs and how dissatisfied they were with their current cup sizes (well, boohoo! I must confess, I had a strong but brief urge to bean them both with the potted plants on a table nearby...) Happily, I was able to entertain myself with visualization only - otherwise I'd probably be e-mailing you from prison : ) Hoping you find your smile again... - Jen On Fri, 22 Sep 2006 15:11:22 -0700 (PDT) signia rodriguez writes: > Hi there, > I also had heartburn and I am taking lansoprazole. > That is what the doctor gave me.
