Guest guest
I know I have asked this question before when we first started the brace but you all will have to refresh my memory. I just would like to know when your child relapsed what were the signs? Could you tell they were relapsing and you talked to the doctor or did the doctor say they were relapsing and you didn't notice? Did the feet turn in any? Could they walk flatly on the ground? Any information anyone can give me will be a great help. I just worry about Isabella relapsing since she is getting older. She wears the brace nightly 12-14 hours a night. She will be 2 years old soon. Thanks for all the information
Guest guest
With Becky's relapse I had no idea.... the doctor kept trying to get us to use reverse last shoes and I knew that was wrong. I talked to Dr. Ponseti and he said that she probably needed a couple of casts and then back into the brace. I still have no idea what exactly what the relapse looked like per say, maybe that is why I am obsessing now. Guest guest
, It's funny that you mention the reverse last shoe. was in those before for his first pair (unilateral cf) and they just didn't seem right to us. We ended up asking for a pair of straight last from a different doctor and they just seem much better. With 's " relapse, " his foot was wanting to curve in a little due to the tendon still being so tight. Part of this is normal behavior for babies' feet, but his was preventing him from putting his little foot flat on the ground. After a tenotomy, this has been corrected but still pulls in a little bit. I think this is normal though. The doctor looked at his foot Wednesday (after I panicked for weeks thinking it was relapsing again) and said it was fine and doesn't want to see him again until he's nearly a year old. 11.23.03 > > I know I have asked this question before when we first started the > > brace but you all will have to refresh my memory.
