Our son had a blister on the top front of his foot where the

DBB strap went. We bought a Dr. Scholls bunion pad (that has a hole

in the middle) and put it over the top of the blister. This helped

take the pressure of the strap from pushing directly on the blister.

Within a few days he blister was heeling a didn't really case a

problem. Others have used band aids or other things to reduce the

amount of rubbing on the blister location.

Kai's shoes on and I see it - he has had an increasing area of

redness on the top of his foot for some time and now there is a

blister. Very bad thing :( It isnt like the doctor is down the road

and we can get a 'healing' cast that easy. It is a whole day and

$100+ just to get there and back. Not only that, but what is causing

the blister?? It is right on his midfoot which makes me worry that

it is a relapse. Aww heck!

Thanks . I will definitely keep that in mind. To my eye, his foot doesnt

appear to have had any significant changes, but this rubbing and then blister

was a relatively recent thing. His pics from last month show only the normal

marks from a strap :( Hopefully we can get to the bottom of this.

We had a problem in the beginning with the shoes casing a

dark red/purple spot on the top middle of Tori's foot. I found that

it was where the buckle on the middle strap was sitting. I used a

blister Band-Aid on her foot and added a layer of moleskin to the top

of the strap under the buckle it took a couple of weeks but it is

gone now. HTH.

Owen has these sores on the tops of both feet (top of the instep)

that is caused by the strap. Only one foot blistered and I put a

bandage on it. They don't seem to bother him and I've resigned

myself to the fact that he will have these marks for at least as long

as he's in the FAB. The skin looks to be toughening up too so he may

end up with residual scarring there.
