I used a sling all the time. My son was in casts and I have used it with his

DBB. I used a maya wrap (sling). I still use the maya and I have another

one that was given to me by a friend, so I don't know the name. The one my

friend gave me looks a lot like the Over The Shoulder Baby Holder ones. Hope

this

helps. My son will be 17 months on the 17th. I use my sling's a lot.

Hi,

Our little babe was also born with bilateral talipes. He is just 4 weeks old and

was also 4

weeks early, (born 2.3kg, now 3.1kg). He is in casts and I take him in a front

carrier. I have

been using the Ultimate Baby Wrap, some days he loves it but lately he has been

too hot or

a bit too squashed against me and frets. I am wondering if it puts too much

pressure on

the casts against my body or if I adjust it too tight. He is currently facing me

rather than

out and I think it will be fine once he is big enough to face out. The great

thing about the

carrier is the flexibility of the positions (sling, front back..) and the way

the material can be

stretched out over the shoulders so babe's weight is distibuted evenly, it feels

like I am not

carrying anything. (It is a it of a pain to put on as you wrap it around your

bady a bit like a

sari.) My advice to you is to wait until the bace is on and go to a store which

has samples

of all the carriers and try them all and see what is most comfortable for you

and the baby,

that way you'll know which one is best.

Goodluck,

mother of Jasper

born may 13

Our pediatrician suggested that when we finally get to take her out in public

that we keep

her in a front carrier. HAS ANYONE HAD EXPERIENCE WITH A FRONT CARRIER OR SLING

WORKING WITH DBB????? Please let me know if you have or haven't. I'd hate to

purchase

one and not be able to use it!!
