Guest guest Posted June 9, 2004 Report Share Posted June 9, 2004 hi all, kelby has broken the black clips on his adjustable brace AGAIN and so i've decided to go get a non-adjustable bar at an orthotic store in our area. the gentleman i talked to there said that they measure at the hips and i've always measured at the shoulders (per dr ponseti). does anyone else measure at the hips instead? am i making too big of a deal our of this? when i hold his brace up to his back the heels of his shoes touch his shoulders ~ when i hold them up to his hips there is almost 2 inches difference on each side. anyone else use a non-adjusting bar and where do you measure? thanks for ANY help!
