Guest guest
Hello all, I apologize for not writing sooner I have been waiting to talk to the Orthopedic Administrator at the University of IOWA and get feedback from Dr. Ponseti. I have received several emails about wanting to contribute to the University Of IOWA on behalf of Dr. Ponseti and questions of where to send the money, etc. I hope this email answers everyone's questions. Dr. Ponseti is quite pleased that this idea was well received and that nobody was offended about the June 5th celebration being cancelled. He wanted me to clarify that the money donated to the University of IOWA on behalf of him will go towards the research to improve the treatment of clubfoot including orthotics and to help needy patients get proper treatment. We as a group can collectively raise money. If you would like to donate any amount of money, or have friends, business, etc who would also like to help please let me know. Checks or money orders are acceptable. Please make them payable to: University Of IOWA Foundation.. In return you will get a receipt from the University of IOWA Foundation! If you would like to include a card to personalize your donation and express your gratitude to Dr. Ponseti please do. I think it would be great to have a card from everyone who donates!! As far as the Precious Little Feet Footprint quilt goes there will be an email following this one with further details. Please mail your checks to: Precious Little Feet, P.O. Box 10224, Santa Ana, CA 92705 ( I would like to have all checks mailed within the next two weeks!) What I plan to do in return is write a cover letter including a grand total of all of the donations, by presenting to Dr Ponseti what we as a group have raised. I will also post this summary on this email group so everyone can see what we as a group did to make a difference! Remember its not the amount you donate it's the fact that you made a donation. If you have any further questions please email me and I will try to get back to you as soon as possible.
