Guest guest
Hey Sandy, I did not like the Armidex. I had the same symptoms. It just made me feel awful and to add to all that for some reason all these inhibitors make my teeth that I had porcelain vinears done on ache. I don't like taking any of them. I am going to talk to the doc about reducing the amount maybe that will help some. I have also tried aromisin wasn't quit as bad as the armidex but that one made me break out for what ever reason I don't know with still all the other sysmtoms so now I am taking tamoxifin. Its not as bad as the others but my teeth still bother me. go figure. I guess i am one of the wierd ones. lol . I don't know yet how long they want me to take it. another year or so. I have been kinda laxed on my pro-active care. Maybe its because of all the holiday buzz going on. best of luck to ya. tt. Pea wrote: Hi Sandy, Sorry about your experience with Armidex. Guest guest
hi theresa, thanks for email. i tired the tamoxfin but that my heart race so fast i thought i was in for a heart attack, scared me so much i stopped it, yeah as for my teeth my caps are falling off, i think this is because bc affects the immune system , my gums and teeth are shot. My onc said up to me if i stop arimidex or not, if i stop it i will increase the risk of bc returning by 15%> Lori when i started rads i put a lot of the cream the hosptial gave me on 3 times a day, esp on the nipple , had cotton underwear, a special deoderant, by the 3rd week i started to blister , the hosptial then gave me a diff cream, but what i found helped me a lot was a------cabbage leaf----- i would get home very tired grap the cabbage leaf put on where i had the rads, and go to bed , i was also taking a multi vitamin .. must sound funny a cabbage leaf, but that was used in the old days for nursing mothers and it seemed to have a real cooling affect as i cannot use aloe vera. hugs to all sandy Theresa Towner wrote: Hey Sandy, I did not like the Armidex. Guest guest
Well, thank you Sandy. Sometimes the old time remedies have hung around for a reason. I appreciate that. I'm sorry about your teeth that must be rough. I had never heard this side effect of chemo until today. My prayers. Has anyone used Xango juice just for general health? I went to their website and there were pictures there of a man who had a terrible burn on his face and he would put the Xango juice on a cloth and put it on his face. They had pictures of every few days the improvement. I had wondered about this for the radiation burns. I will of course ask my oncologist, but just curious. Guest guest
*Hi Sandy,* *Welcome to our group. So sorry you're having such a bad time with hot flashes. My doc prescribed antidepressants for them and they really worked to diminish both the severity and frequency of the flashes. Just thought I'd pass that along in case you want to ask your doc about them.* ** *Best wishes to you,* ** * Ann* *Chemo Hats: www.cjhats.com* > > hi all. > my name is sandy i live in south australia i am 55 , this yr i had my > normal mammogram and found abnormal tumour(no lump), yeps turned out > to be stage 1 cancer i have had lumpectomy and rads, i do not have any > support gone through this alone, hope to make new friends here and > help anyone that has not had this experrince. > I am taking arimidex and not coping well on it the hot flashes are > like i am in my sauna really bad, dizzy, feel very sick, aches and > pains does anyone else have these problems with this drug??? > hugs sandy > > >
